    Nathalie and Isabelle’s 0.75h of Vaugiraut are a mix of 30 and 60yo vines. Pale gold with good intensity, it is slightly floral on the aromatics, with stewed lemons and lemon verbena on the palate, and is extremely saline on the finish. For drinking now to 2019.

100% chardonnay. 45 year old vines on 161-49 and SO4 rootstock. 5.500 vines per hectare on average.
Stony, kimmeridgian limestone. 120 mtrs above sea-level. South-South/East aspect on 10% slope. Soil depth 30 to 40cm approx.
Debud twice yearly, never carry out vendanges en vert. Uses sulphur against oidium. No chemical fertilisers or weedkillers. Ploughs the soil 3 times starting in March. Organic compost sometimes used during Winter. Harvests 100% by machine in this vineyard. Sorting table is used. Vines pruned to ensure never exceeds 45 hectos per hectare.
No destalking. Pressing for 2.5 hrs by a pneumatic press, light settling of the juice for 12 to 24 hrs and vinification in stainless steel cuve. Use natural indigenous yeasts. Sometimes have to chaptalise 0.5. Malolactics completed and racked once during ageing. In certain vintages carries out bâtonnage of the fine lees during a 12 months ageing period (bottled in August and September). No fining and no filtration in 2013. Bottled with their own equipment. 4.500 bottles produced on average.
