    From 50 year old vines on a south/south-west facing hillside, this wine is lightlyfloral and citrus fresh, it has lovely weightand mineral finish. Very drinkable.For drinking now to 2018.

Size of domaine
4 hectares.
100% Jacquère – 50 yr old vines. Rootstock 3309C. Massal selection for the oldest vines (i.e. > 40 years old) and clonal selection on one parcel (vines are less than 20 years old). 8.500 vines per hectare. Trained guyot simple.
Limestone and glacial moraine. 320 to 400m above sea-level. Gradient around 20% on South / South-East facing slope. Depth of the soil is 5m.
Debudding but no green harvest. Leaves grass to grow naturally (mowing). Doesn’t plough; scrapping only. Uses natural and synthetic products against oidium and mildew. Organic fertiliser used at the beginning of March. Hand harvest in 70% of the vineyard. No sorting table used. Yields are 55 hl/ha.
2 hours pressing with a pneumatic press. Leaves the juice to settle for 36 to 48 hours after pressing. Indigenous natural yeasts, light chaptalisation, and the wine is neither acidified nor de-acidified. Cuve fermented at 16°C (maximum 18ºC) for 20 days. Malolactic partially completed, depending on vintages. Two rackings. Aged for 12 months in cuve. Stays on the fine lees with light batonnage. Fined and filtered. 2 to 3 bottlings during the year; usually in September and March. 25.000 bottles produced on average.
