John Livingstone-Learmonth’s website covering the Rhône valley wines, people and vineyards. Concentrates primarily on the Northern Rhône at this stage, as he gradually transfers 30 years of tasting notes. Excellent source of reference for places to stay and eat in the Rhône. The site will shortly become subscription only for access to John’s detailed notes on the 2005 vintage.
Superb site covering the whole world of wine. Jancis tastes wines from all corners of the globe and annually travels to Bordeaux, Burgundy et al from where she pens her accurate tasting notes. There's a whole host of information over and above tasting notes, including unlimited access to the Oxford Companion to Wine, Nick Lander's restaurant and travel tips, and a lively readers' forum.

This site is the result of Allen Meadows' 25 year passion for the wines of Burgundy (covering Chablis and the Mâconnais as well as the Côte d'Or). Pens useful notes from each of the growers that help to give a very clear view on the qualities of each vintage.
James McKenzie-Hall is a long-standing friend whom I met at Seville University back in 1981! An art historian who has lived in Paris over the last 20 years, he is a freelance tour guide, specialising in cultural and historical tours around the city (and throughout other regions of France). His incredible in-depth knowledge of Paris (art, history, walks, restaurants) can enhance any trip to the capital and I would strongly recommend contacting James to anyone spending a couple of days there.

James Wilkins and Christine Vayssade recently took over the premises Culinaria in Chandos Road, Redland, from Stephen & Judy Markwick. James has a first class pedigree having worked with Chris and Jeff Galvin, Stephano Cavillini and Gordon Ramsay in London, then for Richard Neat and Michel Bras in France and Japan. They have refurbished the restaurant and it promises to be the most exciting culinary opening in Bristol for many years.
