  This is one of the classic wines of the northern Rhône, made by one of viognier’s true masters. From 50 year old wines, on a steep south-facing terraced hillside of granitic soil rich in quartz and mica minerals, this wine has real power and an opulent concentration of spicy, apricot and peach fruit. It is bone dry and there is a notable mineral presence on the finish. For drinking now to 2015+.
