    This comes from four parcels of vine averaging 45yo planted in weathered schists on low yielding quality rootstock called Vialla. Using natural yeasts and low yields together with foudre ageing, this has supple red fruits, and good mouthfeel with an irony, stony rasp reminiscent of the schist on the long finish. For drinking now to 2024.

Gamay, 45 yrs old, planted on low yielding rootstock called Vialla. Selection massale. 10,000 vines per hectare. Gobelet formation.
Steep 40° hillside made up of decomposed schist in hamlet called Corcelette. 70cm of sandy topsoil. South east facing
Soil not ploughed but leaves grass to limit yields. Also ensure that there is good leaf canopy to protect grapes. Neither debud nor carry out vendanges en vert. Use sulphur against oidium. Vines are trimmed by hand. Hand harvested to give yields around 50 hectos per hectare.
Indigenous yeasts. Carries out classic maceration carbonique of entire grape bunches in cement cuve with 2 remontages a day. 15 days cuvaison. Pressed by pneumatic press and press wine assembled. Aged in old foudres with 2 rackings. 1 bottling at start of May. Wines unfined but filtered by kieselghur.
