The three friends running Les Roches Sèches work by terroir, and this comes from three parcels of organically worked vines (planted on the fine Rupestris du Lot rootstock) totalling 1.5 hectares that average 40 years old. Aged in older barrels for a year with malos completed, here the schist soils leave a deep irony, print on this dense, bone dry wine which has a great vein of acidity freshening it up. A minimal 14mg/l of sulphur was used. For drinking now to 2020.

A delicious light red perfect for summer drinking made from similar old organically tended vines to the cuvée below, but given a shorter cuvaison. A delicate red, it offers up gorgeous aromas and flavours of wild strawberries and red cherries, with a nice bite and freshness. No sulphur. For drinking now to 2018.

This comes from low yielding 50yo grolleau planted in a good terroir where clay, sand and limestone are mixed overlying a schist base. Fermented traditionally from whole bunches and aged in older barrels for a year, this has delicious cherry and wild strawberry aromatics and flavours with much more depth of fruit than most examples. No sulphur. For drinking now to 2021.
