This comes from 30 to 50 year old vines planted high on a due south-facing hillside in a soil of sand, limestone and yellow ‘millarge’. Fermented in cuve and then aged in four-five year old 400ltr barrels. Notable red fruit aromas lead to a palate that has similarly intense, red fruits, and a marked limestone, mineral flavour, with good structure, ripe tannins and beautiful length. For drinking now to 2021.
