A new partnership between Benoit Doussot (who worked for Jean-Philippe Fichet in Meursault) and Bertrand Gautherot of V and S fame. They have bought grapes from 15-35yo vines from five vignerons all working according to certified Ecocert organic standards. Their vines are all planted on cooler western slopes in the same strata of kimmeridgian limestone (hence the name les Semblables). They have aged the wine in older barrels and then bottled off in July 2016 before disgorging during the winter with zero dosage (around 13,000 bottles). It offers very pretty wild strawberry fruit on the nose, good balance with plenty of energy, zesty red fruits on the palate with a saline, savoury finish. For drinking now to 2020.

The grapes for this cuvée come from the lieu-dit of Sorbée in Buxières-sur-Arce, planted on a plateau where the limestone is portlandian. The viticulture here was converted to organic practice in August 2015. Aged in a similar style to les Semblables above, the champagne has good finesse, with tense citrus fruits tethered by notable salinity on the finish. 3,000 bts produced. For drinking now to 2020.
