This comes from nine parcels of 50yo vines on the flanks of Zellenberg’s hills. A good proportion of Auxerrois favoured for body and spice, aged in foudres and bottled in August 2016, this is Pinot Blanc like you’ve never tried it before, fantastic food wine. For drinking now to 2018.

30 year old vines here, destalked by hand, and aged for 18 months in 6/7yo barrels. There is a deep spicy fruit and yet at the same time the wine is light and graceful, with notable salinity on the finish. Very limited quantity.  For drinking now to 2020.

  • 260. Pinot Gris AC 2013 Zellenberg

As with all Tempé wines this Pinot Gris has great structure and depth of fruit. It’s a rich yet restrained wine with pear, peach fruit, with a hint of rose and a silky caresse on the finish. For drinking now to 2021.

From seven parcels of on average 50yo vines in the Zellenberg commune – younger vines in the lieu-dit of Burgreben, plus some rows from the Grafenreben lieu-dit. Full bodied, earthy and appley, textured and mineral, this achieves the duality of being both broad and precise in flavour, exemplary balance and tension. For drinking now to 2020.

From two parcels of vines, totalling 0.33h in the Grafenreben vineyard, which occupies the same flank as the Schoenenbourg Grand Cru spilling off the plateau just north of Riquewihr. The limestone soil here is relatively heavy with clay, making for a distinctly earthy and age-worthy Riesling. Deeper in colur and richer than the Zellenberg it’s all stony concentration, ripe fruit and beautiful balance. For drinking now to 2023.

  • 274. Gewurztraminer Mambourg Grand Cru AC 2011

Mambourg grand cru is an early ripening, south-facing hillside with a limestone derived topsoil. Marc’s vines were planted between 1930 and 1977. The wine is as intensely floral as it is mineral, and full of rich, long, deliciously exotic fruit that is balanced by fantastic acidity – something that this variety all too often lacks. For drinking now to 2021+.
