Gilles MoratGrape:100% Chardonnay (13.5% alc.)
The best Pouilly-Fuissé have a density of fruit, distinct limestone mineral flavours, yet retain a balance and freshness. This wine, from a top half hectare vineyard on the dramatically sited Roche de Vergisson, epitomizes these qualities with its rich, complex fruit and vibrant mineral tension. Oak is discreet and very well handled. For drinking now to 2015.
