    Grape:80% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon (13% alc.)

    No herbicides or pesticides, late-picked grapes and rotation between oak cask and stainless steel vats are some of the secrets behind this wine’s quality. It is medium-bodied, with classic hints of eucalyptus and mint on the nose and intense red fruit flavours. For drinking now to 2013.

    Grape: 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc and Cab Sauvignon. Trained single and double guyot on root stock 101-14. Average age of vines 30 years. Plant density of 7,000-8,500 vines per hectare 
    Terroir: Clay and sand mix at the foot of the slopes. 
    Viticulture: Organic viticulture. Ploughs every third row up until June and again in the winter. Grass left to grow naturally in 2 rows. Sulphur to prevent oidium but no pest prevention. Uses organic fertiliser. Manual harvest and table de trie. Yield of 40H/H 
    Vinification: 100% de-stalked. Crushes or not according to the vintage conditions. Ferments in Stainless steel and wooden cuves at 25°C with a max of 29°C and for 8 – 10 days. Remontage twice a day for 8 days and then once a day for 8 days. Cuvaison total 15-20 days. Vaslin press and press wine is kept separate. Elevage - in wood (Cuvons) and stainless steel for 2 years. Fining (by organic egg white) and filtration depends on the vintage. Certified AB (Bio). Total production: 20,000 bottles
