52 St-Joseph Rouge AC 2009
Bernard GripaGrape:100% Syrah (13% alc.)
The Gripas have a wonderfully sensitive touch with their wines and their red St-Joseph generally opens up a little before that of Gonon. Their 2007 has an elegant framework, with black cherry fruit, spice and an irony relief on the palate. It is supple and accessible in its youth, rather along the lines of the 2004 though with more concentration. For drinking now to 2015.
