    Grape:80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne (13% alc.)

    Produced from 25 year old vines on hillside terraces between Mauves and Tournon, Fabrice’s St-Joseph white is always a little richer than his St-Péray, though he is very adept at ensuring that it remains fresh and balanced. For drinking now to 2014+.

    11 hectares in total. 12,000 bts St Jo white  
    Grape: 80% Marsanne, 20% Roussanne, 25 yr old vines (7-8,000 vines per hectare). Massale & clonale. 
    Terroir: 1.5 km north of Mauves (south of Tournon) on lower slopes where more soil is found. Argilo-calcaire on granite rock (more clay at bottom of slopes). 
    Viticulture: 35-40 hectos per hectare. Hand harvest 
    Vinification: 50% tank, 50% oak (fûts, 30%, demi-muids 70%) only 1 or 2 barrels new every year, balance 3-4 yr old average). Batonnage until spring if necessary. Assembled just before bottling. Malos completed. Bottled in June.
