    Grape:100% Viognier (13.5% alc.)

    This comes from 20 year old vines planted at the top of a granitic slope south of Serrières. It was vinified in cuve, though 40% was given a two months elevage in two year old barrels to add a little texture. Christophe made just 2000 bottles of this delicious wine that will appeal to all lovers of Condrieu. Well balanced, refreshing and mineral, outstanding value for quality viognier. For drinking now to 2012.

    Grape: 100% Viognier (22 years old in 2009) 
    Terroir: Top of a granitic hillside, south of Serrières 
    Viticulture: Soils are worked by grower. No chemical fertilisers, herbicides or fungicides. Yield of 45 hectos per hectare. Manual harvest. Grapes then transferred to Pichon’s cellar in Chavenay. 
    Vinification: Alcoholic and malolactics in cuve. 35% of the wine is aged in 2 year old barrels for 1½ months to add a bit of texture and bite. Bottled in April after 7 months.
